The company has been awarded with the European Award for Management and Business Innovation, delivered for the first time by the European Association of Economy and Competitiveness, in recognition of its R&D&i work in the electric vehicles field.
The development and manufacture of electric scooter during 6 years, has enabled the company as a leader in the B2B Spanish market.
These awards aim to recognize the work of all those professionals, companies or institutions that make a firm commitment to seek new ways to promote and strengthen business innovation, one of the basic engines in the Spanish and European economy. The award also has a solidarity component, due to that a percentage of the ceremony goes to some NGOs that the Association collaborates with (Save the Children, Cruz Roja and Unicef).
The awards ceremony was held on July 27th 2018, at the Eurostars Suites Mirasierra Hotel in Madrid, and it was conducted by the journalist Emilio Javier Gómez Plaza. Inés Jaén, Marketing Manager of Silence, was in charge of collecting the award who said that:
“This award is a recognition of all the effort and work carried out during six years by Silence in R&D&i, in order to improve the mobility and quality of life in our cities”.
This distinction comes at a great moment for the company, which has just received a new capital investment of 8.6M euros from its partners, Repsol, Caixa Capital Risc and CDTI. Silence is finalizing the new e-scooter for individuals, the S01, which brokes the barriers of cargo points that citizens currently have. In addition, the three-wheeled model S03 has just come on sale, specially designed for last mile distribution, allowing greater stability in the daily transport of large goods.
